How to Choose an AI SEO Course in 2026

Choose the delivery model first, then inspect curriculum evidence, freshness, measurement training and support. A $0 academy and a $299/month operator room should not be judged with the same checklist.

Step 1

Decide what kind of AI SEO course you are actually buying

Self-paced course: you are buying a curriculum. Live cohort or workshop: you are buying curriculum plus access. Membership/community: you are buying continuing access, current feedback and updates. Free academy: you are usually buying nothing financially, so the main cost is your time.

Step 2

Look for AI-search-specific curriculum

A course can use AI heavily without teaching AI search. For direct AI visibility work, look for explicit material on GEO, AEO, LLM citations, retrieval, entity signals, structured content, AI crawler access, prompt research or AI visibility measurement. Traditional SEO with ChatGPT is useful, but it is a different curriculum.

Step 3

Check freshness and implementation depth

AI-search interfaces and tooling move quickly. Prefer programs that publish update dates, current platform examples or an ongoing update model. Then ask whether the course teaches implementation and measurement rather than only definitions.

Step 4

Match price to support

Do not pay recurring-community prices for a static video library. Do not expect one-to-one implementation feedback from a free academy. The cleanest value comparison is price against access, update frequency, curriculum depth and the amount of direct help included.
